The Elves of Christmas Town are busy making toys and wrapping gifts, laughing, singing, and reflecting on the real meaning of Christmas. Everything’s fine and on schedule, but there is a small problem – they can’t find Santa!
Lakeway Sings! looks into this dilemma, as they celebrate 25 years of entertaining area crowds with a special family Christmas Show presented Sunday, December 7th, at the Lakeway Activity Center. Show producer/ director Sheryl Shuster says, “Not to worry, Santa’s bound to show up to join the festivities, and soon we all will be “Swingin’ with Santa.”
There isn’t a better way to get into the holiday spirit than with a Christmas music show, especially one benefiting families in need during the holiday season through LTlov’s Green Santa Program. Price of admission is an unwrapped gift – especially sports equipment and dolls - for a child up to age 17. These gifts will be distributed to qualified area families at Christmastime by Green Santa Program volunteers.
Lakeway Sings! is a 60-some group of music lovers from the Lakeway area who have been performing together for local audiences since 1999. This year’s program, “Swingin’ with Santa,” combines some old music, new arrangements and several fun Christmas songs guaranteed to entertain. Yes, there will be ample opportunity for audience participation – and a really good chance Santa Claus will drop in (he’d better!).
Back-to-back performances will be held at 2 and 4 PM at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, on Sunday, December 7th. No need for reservations, but come early to get a good seat…and don’t forget your Green Santa gift!
For those unable to attend the show, gifts may be dropped off at the Activity Center anytime before the show. There will also be a donation jar at the door.
